    Cellulose Esters

    Biobased (cellulose based) polymers designed to formulate higher-performing, quality products for a growing range of industries and markets. Cellulose esters include cellulose acetate (CA), cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB), and cellulose acetate propionate (CAP) with different degrees of acetylation and viscosity. Cellulose esters can improve the application properties and appearance of coatings as a (co-)resin or as an additive. Eastman’s robust portfolio offers a wide variety of potential benefits, including enhanced durability, moisture resistance and yellowing resistance. In addition to improved performance, Eastman cellulose esters can improve safety and efficiency.
