    Phosphates

    Phosphate esters enhance the flexibility of coatings, reducing the tendency to crack. Furthermore they improve the adhesion of coatings to various substrates, including metal, wood, concrete, and plastic surfaces. Plasticizers also influence application properties such as; flow, leveling, and wetting characteristics and at the same time improve the durability (resistance to abrasion, environmental factors such as moisture, UV radiation, and chemical exposure). In addition phosphate esters offer flame-retardant properties.
